Boxer and promoter brought suit against organization which certifies and recognizes championship boxers in various weight divisions, seeking declaration that he was the undisputed light heavyweight champion. After a contract dispute emerged between the plaintiffs, promoter moved for leave to file a supplemental complaint against boxer, and for a preliminary injunction in aid of arbitration. Boxer moved to disqualify promoter’s counsel. The District Court, McKenna, J., held that disqualification of promoter’s counsel was not warranted. Motions denied.Read the full opinion (pdf)
